In class, we have been learning to write reports, and we were allowed to write a report of our choice; here is mine:
Minecraft
What is minecraft?
Minecraft is a fun, creative sandbox in which you can build anything of your wildest dreams; from a common house to a twisting roller coaster, to a model of the empire state building with king kong hanging on - in Minecraft, you can do anything!
Why is Minecraft so popular?
Well, for one, minecraft just wasn’t made to be realistic, it was made to be fun, and in a lot of cases (including Minecraft’s) simpler is better fun. Minecraft has over 20 million copies brought in 11 years, making it the most copies brought/downloaded in the world. Minecraft is also highly available; it's quite cheap, from a free download on some devices, to only $50 dollars as the highest price (on consoles,) as you can play minecraft on almost all gaming platforms! There are also many different types of Minecraft, including a Minecraft Dungeons, Education edition, Pocket edition,, and many more. It’s also highly addictive and is just as fun playing in up to four player split-screen mode, or you can play online with your friends.
People’s Experience in survival mode
In survival mode you gather resources and try to survive and complete the game. You start off the game by punching trees to get wood, then you can make a wooden pickaxe and go mining for stone. Then you make a stone pickaxe, then iron, and so on until you’re up to Netherite. On the way, you also make swords, hoes, spades, shovels, axes, and so on. There are also many other blocks, like wood, stone, and many others, so you can build a house to keep out mobs like zombies or spiders. You can also craft items, which are neither blocks, nor weapons. These include torches, chests, crafting tables, beds, buttons/levers, and much much more.
Creative Mode
When playing in creative mode, you can make whatever you want, and it’s quite simple, you could make a huge modern mansion with three elevators and 7 floors, or a gigantic music maker using note blocks.Minecraft can also be used as a game making engine, and quite often people create online servers for parkour, battle, role-playing, and so many more. Using Creative mode, people can make huge monuments, often teaming up with friends online, or joining a club like Fyreuk, and create builds on a scale of up to 22 million blocks!
